I had oral sex at age 13 with this guy who was just a friend, nothing else… This messed up my life and now my life is hard and no matter how hard I try, it will take time (a detour in my life thats is big and hard to fix).

Something held me back and I couldn't go through with it. I'm glad that happened, because two weeks later we broke up and he started going out with this other girl who had sex with him right away.

Ask your legislator to personally contact Governor Patrick and ask him to accept federal money in support of middle-school abstinence education. You can get the name, phone, fax, and e-mail of your state representative and senator by going to www.WhereDoIVoteMA.com. Enter your address to find your elected officials, then look for the “Senate in General Court” and “Rep in General Court” name links and click for contact information.

Tell your state legislator and Governor Patrick:

  • Massachusetts needs to accept the $712,241 in federal dollars for abstinence education
  • Middle school students in the Commonwealth need to be taught that avoiding early sexual activity is the healthiest choice and be taught how to avoid sexual activity, skills they do not get in typical sex education classes
  • Don’t take away FREE programs that communities want! Accept $712,241 in federal abstinence education dollars that help pre-teens make healthy choices.
